Terms & Conditions
1. Workshop Offerings
Our in-person workshops are designed to enhance your sewing skills, providing hands-on instruction and expert guidance. We also occasionally invite special guest teachers to offer unique learning experiences. Workshops include instruction, materials (unless otherwise specified), and access to necessary equipment, including sewing machines and tools.
2. Booking and Waiting List
-
Booking: To book your spot, a deposit or full payment is required via bank transfer. Account details will be sent to you in an information email. Once the payment has been received, you will receive a confirmation of your reservation.
-
Waiting List: If a class is fully booked, you may email us to request placement on the waiting list. We will notify you if a spot becomes available.
3. Cancellation and Refund Policy
As a small business, we strive to provide high-quality workshops with small group sizes for the best learning experience. Due to this, we have a non-refund policy. If you are unable to attend your booked workshop, you may be eligible to receive a voucher for future use, subject to the following conditions:
-
You must notify us at least 14 days before the workshop date.
-
Once confirmed, a voucher will be issued for the full value of your original booking.
-
The voucher can be used for future workshops and is valid for 12 months from the date of issue.
Last-minute cancellations: (within 7 days of the workshop start date) are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled. The full workshop fee will be charged.
Special guest teacher workshops: All bookings for guest teacher workshops are final, non-refundable, and cannot be rescheduled. Please consider this before booking.
4. Attendance and Punctuality
We would appreciate it if you could arrive at the studio 5 minutes before the class starts to allow time to settle in and begin promptly. Arriving late to group classes can be disruptive and unfair to other participants. If you arrive late, you may miss important information, and lost time cannot be made up after the class.
5. Substitute Attendees
If you are unable to attend, a suitable substitute (according to the requirements in the seminar description) may attend the workshop in your place. You are welcome to send a friend, but please notify us in advance. This does not apply to workshops that run over multiple sessions (weekly).
6. Workshop Cancellation by Organizer
If we must cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances, we will offer a rescheduled date or a full refund.
7. Participant Responsibilities
-
Participants must follow all safety instructions when using sewing equipment.
-
Any damage caused to equipment due to negligence may be chargeable.
-
Age restrictions apply (see Section 9).
8. Liability and Safety
-
We do not accept responsibility for any injuries sustained during workshops and disclaim all liability for injury or harm.
-
Participants use sewing tools and machines at their own risk.
-
We recommend wearing appropriate clothing and avoiding loose accessories.
9. Children and Age Restrictions
For children under 18 years of age, parental consent is required and will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
10. Intellectual Property
-
Workshop materials, including patterns and guides, are for personal use only.
-
Participants may not reproduce, sell, or distribute workshop content.
-
Photos/videos may only be taken with permission.
-
You may post photos taken in class on social media, but be sure to tag "https://www.instagram.com/studio_showcasenow/"
By booking a workshop, you agree to these terms and conditions. If you have any questions, please contact us before making a reservation.
